My painting 2024

In this 2 hour workshop, you'll dive into the mesmerizing world of alcohol-based inks, exploring their behaviour on synthetic, non-porous paper through pouring, painting, and spraying techniques. You’ll be guided to understand the quirky nature of the inks, starting on a small piece, then moving up to larger pieces. We will play and practice first, then dive in to creating a captivating candleholder.

No previous art experience required.

You’ll learn how they dry, how they blend and pool, and how you can reactivate inks with markers, tools or alcohol. The nature of these inks lends itself to continuous playtime. You’ll learn that the possibilities of painting, then reactivating the inks can be endless. You could end up in a meditative state as you play and play.

All materials supplied, including synthetic papers, aprons, gloves, brushes, spritz bottles, markers and more.
