A bit about Rea as art guide.

Rea’s art is known for the vibrant use of colour and texture and her primary focus on flowers and nature. Her works evoke memories of quiet walks in nature, dappled sunlight, tender young plants, glittering lakes and towering trees. The love for the natural world and its many wonders continues to inspire her art. Her works exist in watercolour, oil, acrylic, alcohol inks, encaustic and collage. She is passionate about conservation and enjoys an allotment garden on Leslie Street in Toronto. She’s often found in art shows such as Riverdale Art Walk, Toronto Outdoor Art Fair, Cabbagetown Art & Crafts, The New Art Festival in Ottawa (renamed Art in the Park in 2024), Queen West Art Crawl, Oakville Art in the Park, and more.  Recently she has turned into a busy art workshop host, doing workshops out of Beaches Sandbox, The Jackalope Gallery, and Artsburg in Clarksburg in Sept 2024, as well as from her rooftop space on the waterfront in downtown Toronto. Watch this space or sign up for her newsletter to learn of new workshop dates.

TESTIMONIALS

No one should miss a chance to join one (or more) of Rea’s art workshops.  What a fun and relaxing way to create some art, spend time with friends, meet people and release your inner artist. - Ellen, Toronto, ON

Rea is a wonderful teacher. She makes lessons carefree and enjoyable while making sure everyone learns something new. She’s very patient, and obviously very knowledgeable. Treat yourself to a day with Rea soon.  - Linda, Montreal, QC

The class was well-organized, with all materials provided, and the atmosphere was relaxing and inspiring. The step by step guidance was easy to follow, yet it allowed for plenty of creative freedom, which I appreciated. I walked away with a piece of art that I’m proud of.  I learned a lot of techniques I’ll be happy to try on my own.  - Paula, Ivry-sur-le-Lac, QC

Such a wonderful encaustics workshop. We thoroughly enjoyed it and you conducted it so well. You set the tone beautifully and people felt very comfortable to just jump in and create. Bravo!   - Julia, Kincardine, ON

Rea, thanks for a wonderful encaustics workshop in a beautiful setting. I always love how you break things down, make it simple to understand and remind us that making mistakes is ok in art, and we can just pivot. So much fun!    -  Sophie, Toronto , ON
